Omega-3 Has Power – And It Can Have It in Your Life Too.
Fatty acids are an indispensable element for the proper functioning of the human body. Particularly important are the unsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which belong to the group of essential unsaturated fatty acids (EFA). Their “essentiality” lies in the fact that the body cannot synthesize them on its own, which means they must be supplied externally – mainly through diet and supplementation.
Unfortunately, even the best-balanced diet today is not able to improve the balance between Omega-6 and Omega-3 in our bodies. Commonly available food is of low quality, often stripped of vitamins and minerals essential for nourishing the human body. It is worth considering supplementation – and most importantly, supplementation of the highest quality.
Maintaining the proper balance between the intake of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids is extremely important. An excess of one and a deficiency of the other can lead to metabolic disorders and increase the risk of lifestyle-related diseases such as atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, or depression.
“Modern diets contain very few key nutrients – we consume too many omega-6 fatty acids and too few omega-3 fatty acids.”
Omega-3 fatty acids play key biological roles: they support brain development and function, influence skin health, regulate inflammatory processes, and support both the immune and cardiovascular systems.
